Lace and Bullets by Marie Carnay Review

Lace and Bullets is a full-length steamy romance full of enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract, secret baby goodness. No cliffhangers or cheating. Guaranteed HEA. I can honestly say this wasn't my favorite by Marie Carnay, but I don't hate it. Basically Damien is part of Marcelo's gang, and Marcelo is the kingpin of the underworld in this city. Judges, lawyers, police, everyone is in his pocket. Damien knows somehow Marcelo is connected to his sister's murder, and he intends to find out how... from the inside. He follows Angelo, one of Marcelo's enforcers to the DA's house, where Angelo is just supposed to scare him. Angelo however, has gotten too big for his britches and shoots the DA, but doesn't kill him. Damien finishes the job, including Angelo, when he hears a noise from the closet. Lo and behold, there is a girl. He gets closer to the girl than he has been with anyone since his sister. They go on the run, try to forget the predicament they are in, and boom she gets pregnant, after LOTS of "forgetting." Now, they have to figure out how to clear their names, since she is a fugitive as well, figure out how to put the past in the past, let go of revenge, so they can move on to their future, with their child. Can they do it? Get your copy of Lace and Bullets today and find out for yourself.
