Vengeance by AJ Scudiere Review

Nine years ago, Claymore Beller tried to do the right thing. It was the last thing he did. In retaliation for his efforts, his mafia bosses laid waste to his family. Only the youngest-Cynthia-came up fighting.

Three years ago, Lee Maxwell made the same error. His wife and daughter paid for his mistake. In a haze of booze and regret, Lee disappeared.

Now, Owen Dunham is following the trail of the ‘Grudge Ninja’-only all his evidence is false and the profilers can’t get their heads around anything except the obvious fact that the Ninja is extracting a deadly revenge for an old wrong.

As the Ninja gets bolder and far more dangerous, Owen is forced to recognize that he hasn’t always made the right decisions–he’s spent far too much time trying to be right. Even as he questions whether bringing in the ninja is the right thing to do, the voice in the back of his head is telling him that it will make his career...

This is the first book in The Sin Trilogy. Book 2, Retribution, is available now and book 3, Justice, will be released in Spring 2015. Follow this female protagonist has she deals with her family's murder, hitman after hitman, and the FBI. Can she work with Lee to create her own vigilante justice?

Also in this series are: Retribution
                                    Justice (coming spring 2015)

Wow, just wow! To begin with, I didn't think I was going to finish this book. The beginning is kind of drawn out. I would have liked to have seen more about after Sin started college. Hopefully, that will come in the next book. Sin is badass in the most badass sort of way. I envy her skills. Even without Lee, she is a force to be reckoned with. I guarantee by the end of this book, you will be cheering for her just like I was. How many times do we wish we had the balls to exact revenge on those who take the people we love the most? In this book, as you are reading, it will really make you both question humanity as a whole, but also take a good hard look at yourselves. Would you be able to do what she is doing? Can you condone what she is doing? I can assure you that you will definitely know that answer by the end of this book, just like Owen did. Also, would you make the same choices he did?
